We Serve an On-Time God!

Wow! What a wonderful weekend of worship! My heart has been so heavy lately as my mom has been looking for a job since she was displaced back in May and my sister has also been looking for a job as she is a recent Liberty graduate. It has been a tough summer for both of them as they were turned down at several schools due to the lack of funds and having to cut back on teachers. I have been praying for them several times a day, every day. I have also been praying for the sale of my parent's house here in Augusta. It has been on the market for over a year. The Lord says in His word that we are to pray according to His will and not our own. So that is what I have been doing. Well, my mom had an interview this morning and before the principal even asked her any questions she said, "Patty, I want you, will you please come work for me!?!" Not only is the school new and in the same county she was already in, but it is in walking distance from their home. I don't think God could've been any more generous! We are so undeserving of His faithfulness and provision. My sister was also given the opportunity to work at a school as a long term substitute as the teacher is about to have a baby any day now. She will be teaching 5th grade Social Studies and Math for the next six weeks. If that isn't good enough, my parent's home is going to start being leased on the 15th of this month. Are you getting chills like I am?

This is all due to God's perfect timing and love for us. We give God the glory! As our Choir sang "Thou Oh Lord" yesterday I could hardly contain myself.

" Thou Oh Lord are a shield for me. The Glory and the lifter of my head! I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy ear...the Lord sustained me. "

July Update

SB had her 6 month appointment last week. She weighed 17lbs. 14 oz. which puts her in the 90% for her weight. She is one big, healthy girl. She also had a tooth come through while we were in Charlotte for the 4th of July with my parents. Since then she has been quite the needy little baby. She always wants to be held and will let you know if she is not happy. She is sitting really good now and rolling all over the floor. She loves for her sister to play with her and laughs at her all the time.

SK will be three in September and we are starting to wonder if she should actually be turning five. She is the smartest little girl I know. She knows all of her shapes and colors and she amazes us with some of the things she comes up with. She loves to sing and her favorite songs right now are from the Libery University CD that my sister gave me. She loves to rock out in daddy's truck.

D is in the process of studying for a SANS test he will be taking on Friday. Between work, our yard, family time, and working on his masters he stays very busy. Although, we always make sure to have our Friday night dates each week. We are so thankful to his parents for watching the girls for us so we can spend some quality time together.

I have enjoyed this summer as we have been able to visit with family and take friends out on our boat to relax on the lake. I am looking forward to one last trip to Charlotte before the school year starts. I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by. Before we know it we will be shopping for Christmas presents and celebrating SB's one year birthday. Yikes!!!
